There are deposits of copper, lead, zinc and silver ores in the Aravalli hills. The copper of this belt is rich in arsenic containing about 4% to 8% in the ore (Hegde, 1969 p. 227). Many copper objects of Harappa and Mohenjodaro have high level of arsenic.
