Recycling is done to avoid wastage of materials. It is good for the environment, since we are making new products from the old products which are of no use to us. Recycling is important to keep the environment clean. To save energy and conserve materials and to reduce garbage fills.For example -
1) Paper. Paper is the most common material that we recycle . The used paper can be converted into new paper products which reduces the wood used in it 
2) Plastic. Recycling the plastics are very helpful to environment as it reduces the great amount of discarded plastics in landfills and conserves natural resources.
3)Compost. It is very useful for plants. We can use vegetable and fruit peels and left out food as compost for the soil . It provides nutrients to the plants.
