Fertilisation happens in the Fallopian tube of a human female, when the nucleus of egg and sperm, fuse together to form a Zygote.

The fertilised egg – also called a Blastocyst, continues to divide as it passes gradually from the fallopian tube to the uterus, where it attaches to the wall or the endometrium. Here, it develops into an embryo and ultimately the infant.
