The oxygen released during photosynthesis comes from the splitting of water during the light-dependent reaction. 3. Remember, the electrons lost from the reaction center in photosystem II must be replaced.

It is liberated by a chemical reaction.
The chlorophyll gets excited and helps in photolysis of water with emission of oxidised hydrogen ion and reduced hydroxyl ion during light reaction of photosynthesis. The hydroxyl ion ejects electron and turns into oh radical. From such four hydroxyl radicals, 2 molecules of H2O and one molecule of o2 are formed . This is how oxygen is liberated.

Hope it helps. Mark brainliest if you are pleased.

ishanaghosh: 4oh- gives 4e- gives 4[oh] gives how
ishanaghosh: Not how but h2o2
ishanaghosh: H2o2 gives H2O + o2
ishanaghosh: Thanks.
