heya!! here is ur ans

the monsoon winds blow from south west in the months of June to September from land to sea .
in summer,
the sun's movement towards north creates a low pressure over the land thus the winds blow from Arabian sea to land and bay of Bengal to land
in winter, the retreat of monsoons occurs as north east winds due to shift of pressure belts

hope it helps

TheElite07: it means monsoon winds come frm the oceans and seas near us
Anonymous: ya
Anonymous: but they may come from land to sea too and then it is called retreating monsoons
TheElite07: but i heard that when norther hemisphere face summer southern hemisphere face winters so there inter tropical conversion zone moves towards India. in winters, there is high pressure in southern hemisphers so wind travels frm there...is it correct?
TheElite07: northern*
Anonymous: same thing deary
TheElite07: how..
Anonymous: as India has oceans at south of it so the retreat of monsoons occurs from land to sea
TheElite07: well..ok..umm..u didn't get me actually..np...thnxx a lot
Anonymous: just ignore hemisphere concept and take it just as pet every latitudinal extent hope helps and Wlcm
