                  reporting the exact words of the speaker is knows as direct speech.
ex : Sam said, " i am doing my homework now"
Indirect speech :
                     reporting the what the speaker said without repeating his/her actual words is knows as indirect speech.
ex : Sam said that he was doing his homework then.

Rules to change a sentence from direct to indirect :

⭐ Convey the message given by the first person to the third person is termed as indirect speech.

⭐ The person who conveys is the second person to whom the first person told the compliment or a sentence.

✴ Indirect speech is a report on what someone else said or wrote without using that person's exact words.

Words of direct speech will turn to indirect in the following way :

⭐ Now - Then

⭐ Today - That day

⭐ Last night - previous night

⭐ Said - Told

⭐ Will be - would be

She said to me, "Alas! Imran is no more. "

She exclaimed with sorrow that Imran was no more.
