India is largest producer as well as consumer of Jute. It produced in Alluvial Soil, required High Temperature, high rainfall and humid climate. Jute producing states in India are Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya, Assam and Orissa.

Temperature - Ideal is 26 degrees centigrade- Allowed range (24 and 37 degrees)
