INTRODUCTION:
They are four types of plant tissue .one of the tissue is Meristematic tissue.
Meristematic tissue-Tissues that bring about overall growth and repair are called meristematic tissues.
Based on the location ,this tissue have divided into three categories.They are
1.Apical meristem(growing tips)
2.Lateral meristem and
3.Intercalary or cambium(branching 0r a leaf /flower)
LATERAL MERISTEM :
-Tissues present around the edges in a lateral manner.
-It give rise to growth .
-It increases the girth of the plant.
