Processing cycle in the Electricity bill of MSEB (earlier name, now changed to MSEDCL) is basically a term used for official purposes.
It refers to a group of bills which will be processed at the same time. Mostly, they will relate to the nearby areas meaning that areas in close proximity of each other will have their reading and due dates at identical dates if they are grouped in the same processing cycle. This helps in data collection of various types and various lists can be easily taken out like mobile nos list, arrears list, list of connection based on type etc. Also, it aids in the distribution of work to a person who will be incharge of the billing related activities of that region.
