Plastids are found inside the plant cell. They are the site of manufacture and storage of important chemical compounds.

✍️ Plastids occur in most plant cells and are absent in animal cell.

✍️ Like the mitochondria, the Plastids also have their own genome and ribosome.

✍️ They are self replicating organells like the mitochondria they have the power to divide.

✍️ Plastids are of three types.

1)CHROMOPLAST-(except green colour)

2)Chloroplast-green coloured plastids

3)LEUCOPLAST - the colorless Plastids.
