Red blood cells are not killed just they do not have nucleus,nucleus are removed for performing their function to carry oxygen.
But if we talk about dead then their life span is about 120 days.
SPLEEN is the abodominal oragan which is include in 3 main functions and one of them is that this orangan removes RBCs means they remove died red blood cells.
