Hi there!,

the answer to your question is, the object should be placed at “2F1”..

Because there is only one possible case (both in mirrors and lens) where the object size and the image size is same .

In case of mirrors,when the object is at “C”(centre of curvature)a real, inverted image of the same size is formed at “C”

In case of lenses, when the object is at “2F1”(twice of focal length), a real,inverted image of the same size is formed at “2F2” HOPE THIS HELPS!…GOOD LUCK……..Its better if you draw the ray diagrams and see yourself.
