Hey Friend,

Manufacturing industries are located at places which have certain advantages so that the industry has some profit. The chief factors of localisation are availability of -
1. raw material
2. power
3. capital and managerial skills
4. markets
5. transport

Other than these, land, construction, machinery, climate, and other facilities are also taken in consideration.

Steel and Iron plants should be located near -

1. Iron mines - for raw material
2. Coalfields - for power
3. Hydro-electric power plants - for power
4. States like West Bengal, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Odhisa - for skilled and unskilled labour.
5. Connected to important cities - for easily available market.

Hope it helps!
