By food in plants we refers to the energy produced by the plants
In most of the plants the food is prepared by the green leaves.green leaves have chlorophyll which converts light energy from the sun to chemical energy required to complete its metabolic process. In some plants even the green stem takes part in energy/food synthesis.
These synthesised food is then transported to all the parts of the plants for its life support.
NOTE:There exists plants that make its food/energy by feeding on insects.these are called insectivorous plants.
