yeah,some of the heat reaction takes place by releasing light such as burning of magnesium ribbon so .. maximum experiment a proved that they all release heat by in the presence of oxygen so that they will burn easily and Hence , they can realese heat as well as the light energy ... but after trying this type of experiment be in observation of ur parents or any elder....
