Leather is biodegradable.

Explanation:

The substance based upon their ability to get decayed they are classified as biodegradable and Non-biodegradable. Those substances which gets decayed in very short span of life they are called as biodegradable substance. On the other hand, that which cannot be degraded in very short span of time and it takes millions of years to degrade it.  

Leather is nothing but the product which is obtained when the skin of the cow is process through a mechanism called tanning. Thus it is a product obtained from living organism and thus it can get degraded easily in very short span of time.
