noo i googled the question it says passive....although explanation was nt there ....
nd what ncert is about transpiration...its all about pull and push concept .....it dosen't says about active and passive concept
read in page 178
it has a statement transport rate reaches maximum when all the proteins are being used
it says transport rate is maximum....it dosen't say that ot will be rapid..... like a loaded truck can have maximum transport bt that dosent mean it will be rapid ...
hey ! i got the answer the point of our argument was all about transport....and we have absorption in question nd they r two different things....sorry bt u were correct ...its active transport is rapid while passive absorption is rapid...anyways thanks for ur help
