Answer:

C4H10 and C6H14 because they are saturated hydrocarbon and other are unsaturated hydrocarbon. In unsaturated hydrocarbon, double or triple bond are present between two carbon atom hence, it not easy to break down,more amount of energy is required to break bond as compared to saturated hydrocarbon, hence, only saturated hydrocabon contaning single bond between two carbon atom gives substitution reaction.

i hope this answer work for u..

Let us answer it

Explanation:

Hydrocarbons

They are the organic compounds that contains carbon , hydrogen and may contain some other element like O , S etc in small amounts .

They are of two types :

  • Saturated
  • Unsaturated

Saturated Hydrocarbon : In which carbon and carbon are bonded by single bond .

They are refer as Alkanes .

Unsaturated Hydrocarbons :  In which carbon and carbon are bonded by double or triple  bond .

They are refer as Alkenes or Alkynes .

There are certain reactions that alkanes, alkenes or Alkynes undergoes .

Like : Alkanes easily show substitution reaction but they cant show addition reaction as they don't have extra bond .

Substitution reaction

CH₄ + Cl₂---> CH₃Cl + HCl

In contrast Alkenes and alkynes can easily show addition reaction because they have extra bond that can be broken and in place some additional element or atom can be added .

For example :

Addition reaction

CH₂CH₂  + H₂ ----> CH₃CH₃

ethene                       ethane
