The following are the animals shown on our national currency:

1. Lion: the lion is one of the many emblems of our currency, it was chosen as the national emblem of India on 24 January 1950. Since then it is printed on every paper currency of India.

2. Elephant: it is also one of the national emblems of India. The elephant is regarded as the National Heritage Animal and thus it is printed on the back side of India paper currency.

3. Tiger: the tiger is printed on the back side of Indian paper and metal money. The emblem of the tiger has been taken to protect them in India.

4. One horn Rhino: this animal is also enormously printed on the back side of the national currency of India.
