Solution:

On the basis of components of environment, Environment is classified into two types. They are:

  • Biotic components
  • Abiotic components

Biotic components:

  • The living components.
  • These components belongs to biosphere.
  • Example: All living things like fungi, plants, human, etc.

Abiotic components:

  • Non-living components.
  • It does not belong to biosphere.
  • Examples include some physical factors like temperature, humidity, water, etc.

Hence, these are the major components of environment.

Know more:

Ecosystem: All the interacting organisms including non-living components and microorganisms in the surrounding environment is called as ecosystem.

which are major component of environment

\huge{\textsf{\textbf{\color{teal}{AnSwEr□}}}}

The basic components of the environment are atmosphere or the air, lithosphere or the rocks and soil, hydrosphere or the water, and the living component of the environment or the biosphere.

An atmosphere is a layer or a set of layers of gases surrounding a planet or other material body, that is held in place by the gravity of that. Earth's atmosphere has five major and several secondary layers. From lowest to highest, the major layers are the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere and exosphere.

\large{\textsf{\textbf{\color{teal}{Lithosphere□}}}}

A lithosphere is the rigid, outermost shell of a terrestrial-type planet or natural satellite. On Earth, it is composed of the crust and the portion of the upper mantle that behaves elastically on time scales of thousands of years or greater.

The hydrosphere is the combined mass of water found on, under, and above the surface of a planet, minor planet, or natural satellite. Although Earth's hydrosphere has been around for about 4 billion years, it continues to change in shape.

\large{\textsf{\textbf{\color{teal}{Biosphere□}}}}

The biosphere is made up of the parts of Earth where life exists—all ecosystems. The biosphere extends from the deepest root systems of trees, to the dark environments of ocean trenches, to lush rain forests, high mountaintops, and transition zones like this one, where ocean and terrestrial ecosystems meet.
