Answer:

A body can undergo acceleration is the following ways:

  1. when an external force which is greater than the frictional force and the experienced force of the body (only if the body is moving initially) acts in the opposite direction.
  2. when a body is in free fall (dropped from a certain height)
  3. when a force always acts on it
  4. Magnitude of velocity remains constant . you might definitely have a doubt on this one (coz at ur standard i had a doubt so only) .  Explanation; We know that acceleration is the rate of change of velocity, and velocity is a vector quantity which depends upon direction and magnitude both.

ANSWER:-

Rate of change of velocity is acceleration.

Situations where objects undergo acceleration are:-

1.)When a body is thrown down the object undergoes change in velocity but in uniform acceleration.

2.)If a boy is riding a bike along a straight road and is increasing his speed by unequal amounts in equal intervals of time.

3.)The motion of a ball rolling down on an incline plane.

4.)A car starting from rest and attaining a velocity.

5.)A rickshaw moving in a crowded place.
