With high development and advancement in the field of technology, weather prediction is done with the help of satellite which maybe land based, sea based or on board aircraft.

Passive sensor is another standard instrument that sends out beams of radiation in microwave infrared and visible wavelengths. The arrival of cyclone in terms of its speed, direction of travel, shape and size is indicated by a three dimensional image, perceived by the sensor.

A warning is issued to the citizens of the country 48 hours prior to the cyclone and then again when only 24 hours are left for its arrival.

With the help of a pre-determined plan of action, the warning is issued to all related departments and to individuals through alert messages via texts, social media or automated phone calls.
