Kharif crop : The crops which are sown in rainy season called Kharif crop. It is sown in month of May-June and harvested in end of September.It requires huge amount of water and hot weather to grow.
For example : Rice, Maize and Cotton.
Rabi crop : The crops which are sown after the end of Monsoon season that is winter season are called Rabi crop. It is sown in month of October and harvested in end of March. It requires warm climate for seed germination and cold weather to grow.
For example : Wheat, Peas and Gram.
