The most obvious bestowers of spinal flexibility are backbends, and most of them simultaneously strengthen the back. They also flatten the curvature of the upper back. Forward bends, on the other hand, work by stretching the spine and flattening the curvature of the lower back.

The two main asanas which affect the spine of our body are:

1) Dhanurasana: In this asana or pose, a person needs to lay flat on his stomach and then stretch his arms backwards and lift his legs upwards and then slowly holding the legs with his hands. Staying in this position for 5-10 seconds is great for spine.

2) Triyak Bhujangasana: In this asana or pose, a person needs to lay down flat on the stomach and then lift his upper body slightly above the ground and then twisting the upper body backwards. this pose is also known as the twisting cobra pose.
