Meteoroid is a small body of rock or other substances which is moving in the space space freely and if it enters in the earth's atmosphere then it will be known as the meteors.

The mesosphere of the earth's atmosphere burns down this meteors by the air friction and prevents the damage which can be caused by that meteor if not destroyed before hitting the ground.

So the answer will be the mesosphere.
