Five Banis namely Savaiyye, Benti Chaupai, Japji, Jaap, and Anand Sahib were recited while preparing Khande Di Pahul.
Phaul is also called as Amrit Sanskar which was started in 1699.
In Khande Di Pahul, an iron bowl filling with clean water and a person keeps stirring the water with a sword which has two edges, called a Khanda while reciting the five Banis.
