the ionic bond is non directional because charge is uniform in all direction . An ion is surrounded by other ion from all the direction whereas But covalent and coordinate bond are formed by one side only hence aredirectional.

Answer: An ionic bond is non-directional because the charge is distributed uniformly in all the directions.

Explanation:

A non-directional bond forms between the species which have a charge.  Therefore, an ionic bond is non-directional because the charge is distributed uniformly in all the directions. Non-directional is also known as multi directional.
