Go with and then there were none if you are just a Beginner for sure. To kill a mocking bird might be a little dull for beginners.

I have read To kill a mockingbird twice and I have a feeling I'm yet to decipher it entirely. It is a thoughtful and deep book. And then there were none on the hand is an amazing story and I still remember how hooked up I was when I first read it.
Both are very different it depends on your taste. Read TKAMB if you want something thought-provoking
Read ATTWN if you want an excellent mystery story.
