Perforated cell walls mean it is a cell with holes in it. In a biological cell, the holes are in the cell membrane/cell wall, which will lead to its lysis (breaking apart/popping). Tracheids have pits on their walls. Tracheids, unlike vessel elements, do not have perforations. Vessels are interconnected through perforations in their common walls. Sieve tubes have perforated end walls to form sieve plates.
