C. must be a member of the democratic or republican party. Becoming a president, United States constitution does not necessary require any one to be a member of any political group. for as long as you meet other criteria, your political party cannot hinder you from becoming president. one can even be independent and still be eligible to stand for presidency.

In order to become a president of US, the third option doesn't suit the requirements.

There is no need that the candidate should be a member of the republican or democratic party.

However, the other 3 requirements hold true, that the candidate needs to be 35 years, needs to be US citizen, and should have lived in US for about 14 years.
