White blood cells is known as the soldiers of the body because it protects us from against both infectious disease and foreign invaders.

White
blood cells also known as  leukocytes or leucocytes, are the cells of the body immune system that are involved in protecting the body.

All white blood cells are produced and derived from multipotent cells in the bone marrow known as hematopoietic stem cells.
