There are numerous Sports Universities in the world which started with Switzerland which has organised the first FISU or International University Sports Federation.

Recently, India became one of the first countries in Asia to set up it's own Sports University and more are being planned all over the country.

Pakistan is also building it's first Sports University in Islamabad
