Hayabusa is a robotic spacecraft developed by Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency to return the sample of some materials from the near asteroid from the earth called as 25143 Itokawa for the research purposes. And, Japan successfully done that.

Period of this Mission: 9 May 2003 - 13 June 2010

Launching site: Uchinoura Space Center, Japan

Purpose: To return some samples of materials from the Asteroids.
