frenkel deffect doesn't change density of crystalline solid as only cation get misplaced to interestial site ..there is no loss of ion take place..

whereas in schottky defect , catian get migrated and vacancy get created .so it decreases density..

hope u like answer ..mark as brainliest

Frenkel defect does not change the density of the crystal. It is a type of stoichiometric point defect in which one of the cations gets misplaced from lattice points and is placed in the interstitial site of the crystal. Thus, there is no loss or gain of any ion and so there is no change in its density. Frenkel defect is usually exhibited by crystals such as AgBr, AgCl, AgI, ZnS etc.
