Answer

OPTION D Presbyopia

Explanation

Presbyopia is a defect of the eye which occurs at an old age when the lens become rigid and hard . The lens cannot change its size easily and loses flexibility . This causes a type of farsightedness as the person cannot view the nearby objects properly .

The other defects namely : astigmatism , farsightedness . squint has other causes . Squint leads to cross eye or wide eye and can be corrected by exercise , Farsightedness is a defect in which people cannot view nearby objects properly . Astigmatism is caused due to the uneven curvature of the cornea .

Presbyopia can be corrected by using bifocal lens . Squint can be corrected by surgery or by suitable exercise . Astigmatism requires cylindrical lens and farsightedness can be corrected by using convex lens .
