Answer:
At its annual developer conference in San Francisco on Tuesday, software giant Google launched its new Pixel 3a range of devices. The stripped down and cheaper yet familiar looking offerings of the Pixel 3 series come in two models— Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. The former is priced at ₹39,999 while the latter will be sold at ₹44,999. The smartphones would be available for sale starting 15 May exclusively via Flipkart.
The two smartphones remain largely untouched in terms of design, except that instead of using premium frosted glass, Google has gone for a polycarbonate back to cut costs. The two smartphones carry forward the two-tone design from the Pixel 3 and 3 XL.
The two smartphones will come in 'Just Black' and 'Clearly White' colour variants. A brand new colour variant in purple will be available in other markets but not in India.
Two factors distinguish the Pixel 3a and 3a XL—screen size and battery.
The Pixel 3a is lit by a 5.6-inch FHD+ gOLED display while the Pixel 3a XL has a bigger 6-inch FHD+ gOLED display. The former has a 3,000mAh battery while the latter is backed by a 3,700mAh battery.
The two smartphones rock Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 670 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage.
