This is the way entire nation called India got divided and destructed in innumerable (if not infinite) ways since past 3700 years when pastoral Aryans from Eurasia invaded around 1700 BC in Indus Valley Civilization and destroyed major sites. These invaders became Brahmins under caste system invented by them which still persists. They would divide everything (like West divided everything in binaries). Classes, castes, religions, sex/gender, regions, races, ethnicities, countries, ideologies, everything.
In reality, both army and farmer are equally important (as far as nation state concept prevails). If you don’t see nations divided (like we have today), then army is not important. What will army on border do if there are no borders? Costa Rica is a country which doesn’t have military on its border since past 50 years! And still no country or outsiders has evaded or attacked them. So, why not all countries follow suit? Think over it! All the best!
