Which electrolyte will be most effective ionin the coagulation of gold sol. MgCl2 is most effective in the coagulation of Gold sol. Gold sol is negatively charged. The electrolyte having positive ions with maximum valency will be most effective in causing its coagulation (Hardy Shulze rule).
