ANSWER :

Pancreas is the endocrine gland which does not function properly in diabetic patients.

Reason -

There is a cell called beta-cell in the pancreas. This beta-cells has the function to release insulin. Insulin is responsible for controlling the sugar blood in the blood. So if pancreas gets affected or if it does not function in a proper way, then the beta cells will also be unable enough quantity of insulin and thus the level of sugar in the blood will go high.
