1. Shah Jahan's wife is buried inside, when in fact she is not
2. That the everyone who built the monument had their hand chopped off, so nothing more beautiful could be made after this. This is also false
3. Many people think it is a mosque, but it's not
4. People think a Hindu King built it, while actually it was built by a Muslim King, inspired by persian buildings

Taj Mahal was built in the 17th century by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
It is considered as the 8th wonder of the world and this was made in an honor of the third wife of Shah Jahan. It is located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh and is one of the biggest tourist attractions in India till now.
