A spermatogonial cell has 30 chromosomes. How many chromosomes will be found in
i) Spermatocyte
ii) spermatid?

i) 30 chromosomes
ii) 15 chromosomes

i) Spermatocytes are produced as a result of mitosis. Hence the chromosome number remains the same. = 30. ii) Spetmatids are produced after meiosis. Hence, the chromosome number gets reduced to half. = 15.
