1. combustion of fuels (carbon monoxide) - it forms carboxyhaemoglobin when the gas reacts with heamoglobin in the human blood

2.burning of coal and timber( carbondioxide) - leads to global warming

3. automobile exhausts (nitrogen oxide) - causes acid rain

4. burning of sulphur (sulphur dioxide) - causes irrigation in the eyes, lung cancer and asthma

Carbon dioxide from the burning of fossil fuels is regarded as the largest single source of greenhouse gas emissions from human activities.

Extracting, processing and transporting and distributing fossil fuels also release greenhouse gases.

Deforestation is the second largest source; producing lime to make cement accounts for about 2.5% of carbon dioxide emissions from industrial sources; and burning of fossil fuels.

Agricultural activities also contrinute towards green house gases such as rice cultivation as it releases methane and the disposal and treatment of garbage and human waste.
