The Hindu Congress agreed with him. Mountbatten became convinced that any delay would increase violence and he pushed forward the date for Britain leaving India to August 1947. In August 1947, the Indian Independence Act was signed.

In the year 1858 British ruled all over India in a very formal way. Later on, the Mughals and the East India company joined hands and emerged to be the British Raj.
Then Queen Victoria was the Empress of British Raj. British Raj has not lived up to the mark and hasn’t helped the promises made. Slowly their ruling started to degrade and they had to end their power.
