Panchayati raj is a system of governance in which gram panchayats are Tha basic unit of administration . Gram panchayat is a council consisting of several ward numbers known as panchs and a president ( Sarpanch ) . They are directly elected by all the adult population living in that ward or village . This feature of gram panchayat is very significant . People in a particular village elect their own representative who suffer very much acquainted or familiar with the local issues . Thus they can solve the problems of people easily and effectively . I like this feature of panchayati Raj in our country .....
