The gas which is evolved is the hydrogen gas.
This can be identified by burning a candle near to the place of experiment. But Safely.

Here's your answer!!
________________________________
◆When Metals reaction with Dilute acid ,"Hydrogen gas " is evolved.
For example :-
Fe+2HCL ------>FeCl2+H2
◆It can be identified by bringing the matchstick or candle near the test tube in which reaction is taking place. If it burn with producing a sound it means reaction between Metal and Acid is taking place in which Hydrogen gas is being evolved.
