Which gas is produced when dilute hydrochloric acid is added to a reactive metal? Write the chemical reaction when iron reacts with dilute H₂SO₄.

Hey mate here is your answer:-)

When any metal reacts with HCl, hydrogen gas (H2) is liberated out.

The reaction between iron and dilute sulphuric acid are:-

1. If it is Ferrous (F2) =

F2 + H2SO4 ----> FSO4 +H2

2. If it is Feric (F3)

F3 + H2SO4 ----> F2(SO4)3 + H2
