In the process of photosynthesis, the reactants (carbon dioxide, water and sunlight), yield two products, glucose and oxygen gas.

6CO2 + 6H2O —> C6H12O6 + 6O2.

In this light reaction, water breaks into hydrogen and oxygen, hydrogen is used again by plants for making glucose and oxygen is released.

carbon-dioxide gas is released during photosynthesis because the medium of surrounding was less concentrated and the medium inside the cell was more concentrated so it moves from higher to lower concentration
