Which has greater area, a square of perimeter 44 cm or a circle having circumference 44 cm.

amanrajkol2002p47c6r: side of square-44/4=11cm and area =11×11=121cm^2 AND r of circle=44×7/(22×2)=7cm and area=22×7×7/7=154cm^2 That's why cicle's area is more.

perimeter of square=  4 x side
44 cm = 4 x side
side =44 / 4
side of square = 11 cm
area of square = side x side
                           = 11 x 11
                           = 121 cm²

circumference of circle = 2 π r
44 cm = 2
π r
r = 44 / 2π
r = 22 /
π
r= 22/ (22/7)
r = 22 x 7 / 22
r = 7 cm

area of circle=
π r²
                       = (22/7) x 7 x 7
                       = 22 x 7
                        =154cm²

thus
 area of circle is more

Answer:

Perimeter of a square = 44

One side of square = 44/4

Area of square =11×11=121cm square

Circumference of circle= 44cm

2pie hour =44

radious = 44×7/2×22

radious= 7cm

Area of the circle = 2pie hour

= 22/7×7×7

= 154cm square

Area of the circle is greater than the area of the square
