Which has more slope, 1 or 2?

Attachments:

Divyankasc: So, I know it is 2. But then, still.. If we consider angle of slope 1 as 'A' and slope of angle 2 as 'B' (from right of the slopes).. Let A = 150* and B = 120*.. tan150* > tan120*.. So, the slope with more value of tan is more.. Slope 1 should be more. But, slope 2 is. Why?

If we consider two points on lines L1 and L2 which have same ordinates i.e, y1=y2and different abscissa then x2>x1 so, points lying on L1 and L2 are (x1,y1) and (x2,y1) respectively. From equation of line y=mx+c
we get slope as y-c/x as x2>x1⇒m1>m2 as m is inversely proportional to abscissa of the line greater value of x lesser will be value of m and from given figure we can notice that when y co-ordinates of both lines are equal x co-ordinate of line2>line1 so m1>m2

Divyankasc: I'm such a beginner that I didn't get.
pankaj12je: Hope this helps you...
Divyankasc: Slope of 1 is greater?
pankaj12je: I think so...
