Which house of Parliament has more power regarding the money bill? Give reasons. ​

The house of the parliament which has more power regarding the bills passed is Lok Sabha. It is also called as the house of the common people. It is more powerful due to the following reasons:

• The members of the Lok Sabha are directly elected by the people but in the Rajya Sabha the members are indirectly elected. As the people vote for the members in the lok sabha and elect them it is more powerful. As in a democracy the main focus is to voice peoples opinion.

• Lok Sabha also has more power in the case of money bills compared to Rajya Sabha.

• If there is any debate on the bill passed by both houses then a session is held with both the Rajya Sabha members and the Lok Sabha members together this session is called as the joint session as there are more members in the Lok Sabha the decision made by the Lok Sabha prevails most of the time.

• Lok Sabha can pass No- confidence Motion which the Rajya Sabha cannot.

• The council of ministers headed by the prime minister is collectively responsible to Lok Sabha not Rajya Sabha
